It is with bittersweet emotions that I share the news of the retirement of Deacon Kevin Boudreaux from active-duty ministry as a Deacon of the Diocese of St. Augustine. Deacon Kevin and his wife, Sylvia, have been parishioners for more than 33 years and have both generously given so much of their time and talent to help build up this incredible parish.
Deacon Kevin was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on June 18, 2011, and has been assigned to St. Joseph since his ordination. Over these many years, he has assisted at countless Masses, baptisms, weddings, funerals, Stations of the Cross, and even served as our Director of Religious Education for several years. His daily Liturgy of the Hours, prayed and shared on YouTube, has allowed many who are homebound to pray with the Church.
Deacon Kevin has tirelessly worked as a laborer in the Lord’s vineyard, faithfully walking with us as we journey towards our eternal reward. He will be greatly missed. We invite you to join us in wishing him a blessed and joyful retirement on Sunday, November 30th at 3:00 p.m. in the Tally Auditorium of the Cody Enrichment Center. If you are able to help with a dish for the retirement party, please see the Signup Genius below for needed items.
