Come Holy Spirit
Open up my eyes and my heart to see the ways 
in which I have used others as a means to my ends.
Grant me, Spirit of God, the humility to recognize
that when I am corrected, I may actually be wrong.
Make me more docile to receive the moral teachings of the Church,
including the ones that I find it difficult to understand or accept.
Give me the wisdom to recognize that—
though love is the fulfillment of all the commandments—
not everything that calls itself love truly is.
Teach me, in moments when I find it difficult to love,
to look to the Cross where I have been loved first.
Help me, Holy Spirit,
to say with John the Baptist,
that Christ must increase and I must decrease.
We ask all this is the precious and powerful name of Jesus.
